Bakersfield Invisalign
Invisalign is a metal-free way to straighten your teeth in half the time of traditional braces. People will notice your smile transformation—not your braces. While Woolf Dental serves our patients with traditional orthodontics, many adults, especially, prefer Invisalign invisible braces. We are a certified Premier Invisalign provider for adults and teens.
What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic system that uses 3-D technology and a series of clear, flexible plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. The FDA-approved aligners do not contain BPA, BPS, gluten, or latex.
What Kind of Issues Will Invisalign Correct?
Invisalign treatment corrects many cases of misalignment, including:
- Crossbite
- Crowding

Invisalign Technology at Woolf Dental
iTero®
Instead of messy impressions, Woolf Dental uses iTero 3-D digital scanning to make a digital model of your teeth for precisely fitting aligners.

Mandibular advancement for teens
Invisalign’s mandibular advancement features precision wings on the aligners to gradually move the jaw forward and improve your bite. The feature corrects overbite in teens while aligning their teeth.
How Does Invisalign Work?
Invisalign treatment includes these steps:
- During your first Invisalign appointment, we will examine your teeth and take photographs of them.
- We will use iTero technology to scan your teeth, gums, and jaw and show you a 3-D digital model of how Invisalign can progressively improve your smile.
- We will use the 3-D model to map your tooth movement and develop a treatment plan.
- The Invisalign lab will use the model and treatment plan to make customized aligners for you.
- When your aligners arrive, we will place them on your teeth and trim them as needed for correct fit and comfort.
- You will take a series of aligners home.
- You will wear each new set of aligners 20-22 hours a day for one or two weeks to move your teeth to a new position and allow time for tooth ligaments to adjust.
- With each new set of aligners you wear, you will feel discomfort and extra pressure for a few days. As your teeth move, the aligners will feel more comfortable.
- We may temporarily attach small buttons of white composite to your teeth to increase the aligners’ grip for any complex tooth movement.
- You will have a checkup appointment about every six to eight weeks.
After you have worn all the Invisalign trays, your smile will be aligned and beautiful.
How Long Is Invisalign Treatment?
The average treatment time with Invisalign is six to twelve months. We will make a personalized treatment plan for you and estimate your total treatment time.
How to Take Care of Invisalign
- Remove Invisalign when you eat and drink.
- Brush your teeth after eating, or thoroughly rinse your mouth with water if you cannot brush.
- At night, floss and brush your teeth as you normally do. Rinse and gently brush your aligners and wear them overnight.
- Keep your aligners fresh and clear with a cleaning solution designed for clear braces.
